At Funny or Die, John C. Reilly, Jack Black, Margaret Cho, Neil Patrick Harris, Maya Rudolph, Allison Janney, and a number of other celebrities sing and dance their way to a political message about religion and Proposition 8.
When asked if the Bible says homosexuals are an abomination, Jesus (Jack Black) replies, “Yeah, but it says the exact same thing about this shrimp cocktail.” He then goes on to let the people know that if they’re going to pick and choose what they take away from the Bible to choose love, not hate.

Perhaps most interesting is that, although the (dowdy and drab) religious supporters of Proposition 8 are never overtly referred to as Mormons, the credits list a “Prop 8 leader” and his two wives, who are the only Prop 8 supporters with solo lines.
If you haven’t already, be sure to see the here & there roundup about Mormons and Proposition 8, and a recent post about the religious intolerance of the Hollywood community surrounding Prop 8.
