Hello! I've been browsing through some of the Psychology of Religion sites I found in a Google search and I came across your article. I really enjoyed reading your essay and actually wrote a review on it with a link to this site on my personal blog. I'm not sure whether you intended to or not, but you actually identified a growing movement within protestant Christianity call neo-evangelicalism. This group is much more liberal than its conservative counterpart, though not all the way down the spectrum as some of the most liberal churches. In my review, I briefly traced some of the history in the development of this movement. I thought your essay to be insightful and your thesis to be proven true. I wanted to share it with the people who I know will be reading my blog as a basis for a discussion about the aforementioned neo-evangelicalism since you did such a superb job in critiquing the continually developing narrative. Thanks for your contribution!

Congratulations on a wonderfully articulated post. This is a very intriguing time for evangelicals. Concerning the final paragraph, who will be the charismatic figure to "re-weave the strands of the story for a new generation?"
