Calling for arrest of any sitting head of state will create choas in that country, let alone if that country is Sudan. Bashir has achieved the CPA which ended the longest war in Africa, he signed an agreement with the East Sudan rebels in Asmara and ended the war there. He signed a pact with the Northern opposition in Cairo an the led to return of almost all political figures to Sudan. He also singed the internationally witnessed Darfur Peace Agreement, which was reject by two main factions of Darfur armed groups. He lately apporoved the election act which paves the road for general election in 2009. How can this same person go around mass killing his people and committing genocide as claimed NGOs in USA and followed by the Bush Administration. the ICC is intervening at the wrong time, as the country is trying to heal its wounds by preparing for peace negotiation in Doha soon. Keep away the ICC and Sudan will be fine

Albashir's regime as evident is using the ICC case to its advantage. The regime with its suffocating crissies throughout the country is issuing a warning after another that the consequences of the indictment have serious impact on peace process, endanger stability of the region, ...etc. Albashir himself and on many of his prolonged speeches broadcasted on the state owned T.V. challenged all claimants to power in Sudan to raise arms, and as he explained he will never listen except to the sound of the gun. The president used to provoke his adversaries counting on his military force to silence them. But things are different now. The mouse is in the trap and his affiliates are doing their best to untie the rope around his neck. NCP never respected human rights and relied heavily on violence to win disputes. darfur war crimes are not a myth, they are concrete reality . Indictment will not threaten the region's stability, and all the rehtoric split over the case by NCP affiliates are manovers to rescue a tyrrant. Now it is time for justice to be done.
